 I. NGỮ PHÁP 

- The number + of + N số nhiều + V (chia số ít)

Ex: The number of students is from Singapore. The number of stuents has moved in Ho Chi Minh city

- A number + of + N số nhiều + V (chia số nhiều)

Ex: A number of students are from Singapore. The number of stuents have moved in Ho Chi Minh city.

- Each + N số ít + V (chia số ít)

- Each + of + the + N số nhiều + V (chia số ít)

Ex: Each car is sold to its owners. Each of the cars is sold to its owners.

- One + N số ít + V (chia số ít)

- One + of + the + N số nhiều + V (chia số ít)

- Tiền bạc /đo lường/ thể tích /giờ giấc dù danh từ số nhiều nhưng vẫn chia động từ số ít

Ex: 5 hours is not enough for a sleep.

- Đại từ  bất định (everyone, everybody, no one, someone, nobody, eveything…)

Ex: Everyone is coming.

- S1 + (as well as / together with / along with / accompanied with) + S2 + V (chia theo chủ ngữ S1)

Ex: Lan as well as her classmates wants to drink coffee.

- S1 + (Either … or , Niether  …. Nor, not only …. But also) + S2 + V (chia theo chủ ngữa S2)

Ex: Either my friends and I am going to HaNoi this week.
